Thermal Therapy Ankle Sleeve From Recover Gear

The Thermal Therapy Ankle Sleeve From Recover Gear is designed to provide both compression therapy and heat or cold therapy to the ankle and achilles tendon.

Compression therapy, heat therapy, and cold therapy may be called for in situations of:

Ankle sprain
Arthritis
Tendonitis
Post-surgery care
Torn ligaments
Overuse syndromes

Physicians and therapists agree that cold therapy and heat therapy have to be easy or the patient won't comply. With Recover Gear's distinctive design, doctor's orders become so much easier!

The Thermal Therapy Ankle Sleeve From Recover Gear is composed of a snug fabric sleeve with a built-in pocket that conforms to the shape of your foot. A heated or frozen Thermafreeze™ insert (included) is slipped into the pocket.

Thermafreeze™ is a biodegradable, non-toxic, crystallized polymer
Thermafreeze™ is moldable when frozen.
Unlike other cold therapy gels, it's only 2% water and 98% gel.
Promotes less sensation of wetness, only the therapeutic power of cold.
Thermafreeze™ technology has been employed in transporting perishables sensitive to humidity for some time, and is now catching on in the world of medicine.

For cold therapy - spray warm or hot water over new Thermafreeze™ insert for 1 minute. Towel dry the insert to remove any excess moisture. Place in freezer.

For heat therapy - after the Thermafreeze™ insert is hydrated, place in mocrowave for 1 minute. Check to see whether or not it's at the temperature you need. Any further heating should be done at 15 second intervals. Do not heat the insert longer than 90 seconds!

Maximum treatment time for either cold therapy or heat therapy is 15-20 minutes. Avoid direct contact with skin--always use the Thermafreeze™ insert with the sleeve. After treatment, remove insert from sleeve and store in the freezer (cold therapy) or at room temperature (heat therapy).
