PCL Braces

Posterior Cruciate Ligament (PCL)

Twenty percent of all ligament injuries are of the PCL.  A more difficult ligament to tear than the ACL, however ACL and PCL ligaments, when torn need to be evaluated by your doctor.  The function of the PCL is to hold together the femur and the tibia in the back portion of the knee joint, just as the ACL holds together the front.

Once you have had a PCL tear, either with our without surgery, you will want to protect the knee with an appropriate PCL brace.  Posterior Cruciate Braces are designed to stabilize the back portion of the knee joint to protect the PCL ligament.
