When using the Knork®, however, the finger rests on the smooth platform. Not only is it more comfortable, but it also reduces the amount of effort needed to rock the Knork's head back and forth. This rocking motion, in combination with the curved tines, makes the utensil capable of cutting through vegetables, meats, pizza-- even tougher foods such as steak!
