NeckPro Overdoor Cervical Traction Device - Gilliam Enterprises
 |
| Portable-- Use at Home or Away |
Developed by Dr. Larry Gilliam, M.D., the FDA registered NeckPro provides up to 20 lbs of effective cervical traction without the cumbersome equipment, water bags or weights required with many conventional traction units. Instead, it uses a racheting device combined with a compression spring, which enables incremental tension adjustment without the guesswork and without the hassle of dismantling and re-assembling the unit. The Neckpro is incredibly easy to use! No assembly is required, and the device is easily transportable. There's no need to miss your cervical traction therapy sessions when you're away from home!
Millions of individuals suffer from neck pain, which can be caused by injuries, medical conditions or even issues such as sitting too long, long drives, poor posture, improper sleeping habits and everyday physical, mental and emotional stress. Neck pain occurs when muscle spasm or tension causes the spaces between the vertebrae to become more narrow. This puts pressure on the nerves in the area, causing what is called a "pinched nerve." The NeckPro combats this problem by applying cervical traction, stretching the tense muscles and causing them to relax.
Benefits of the NeckPro:- Promotes relaxation, stress relief and tension relief
- May help reduce the need for costly pain medications

How to Use the NeckPro:- 1. Mount the metal door bracket over the top center of a door. Press the release tab on the bracket to lower the harness.
- The bracket will fit doors up to 1.5" thick.
- For a larger bracket the Commercial Door Bracket, sold separately, can fit doors up to 1.75" thick.
- 2. Sit in a chair with your back firmly against the chair back, with the chair against the door. Assume a comfortable position and keep this position in order to maintain static tension traction.
- 3. Put the harness on the back of your head and chin, with the chin strap cupping the forward structure of your chin. Pull the rear straps forward and attach them to the patches on each side of the chin strap.
- 4. Pull on the white cord to add tension/traction. The racketing mechanism will make an audible "click" sound each time a pound of tension is added, letting you easily keep track of your traction level. Begin counting the clicks when you sense the first tug/lift. After each click, ease up on the cord to get a sense of the increased traction. The Neckpro can apply up to 20 lbs of traction/tension.
- 5. When you've reached your desired tension level, release the cord and relax for the duration of your cervical traction therapy session. You can even read a book or watch TV! The racket will lock automatically, maintaining tension.
- 6. Remove the harness by releasing the rear straps from the patches on the chin strap. Lift the straps up and over the head.
