The gel pad also absorbs shock from heel strike, improves shoe fit by compensating for narrow heel and limits lateral and medial movement of calcaneus's. Sewn-in magnets, located on each side of the calcaneous below the level of the talo-calcaneal joint help limit lateral and medial movement of heel and provide the benefits of magnetic therapy. Also available without magnets.
The Heel Hugger is made of a supportive Neoprene sleeve that fits comfortably like a stocking and provides compression therapy to control edema. This Neoprene sleeve assists the gel pad in absorbing shock. Sleeve can be hand or machine washed and air dries quickly.
Designed to provide the wearer with heel stability and enable rapid transition fom post-op show to a normal shoe, while treating imflammation problems of the heel.
