The MalleoLoc stabilizing ankle brace is specifically contoured to increase stability without restricting mobility. Fits in front of the outside ankle bone and behind the inside to prevent the outward rolling of the ankle joint, common in so many injuries.
Unique design leaves heel and front of the foot free for natural stabilization and allows for full plantar and dorsiflexion. Thermoplastic material may be heat-molded to provide custom fit.

Q. Will the plastic rub my foot?
A. The plastic is lined with foam for cushioning and comfort. It should not rub or irritate the skin.
Q. Can it be worn against the skin?
A. MalleoLoc can be worn against the skin or with socks, depending on your preference. Most people prefer wearing a sock under the orthosis.
Q. Will it fit in my shoe?
A. Yes, it is very streamlined and fits comfortably in casual and athletic shoes.
Q. Does MalleoLoc contain Latex?
A. No.
Q. Do they come in pairs?
A. MalleoLoc is sold as a single unit for either the right or left ankle. You can definitely buy one of each to make a pair.

I am 51 years of age and an avid soccer player.
I had severly "rolled" my ankle several times in the course of my life while playing soccer. Rolling your ankle is a common injury in soccer. Each successive injury was progressively worse each time, finally culminating in a 2 month lay-off of rest and rehabilation. Thinking my soccer days were over, a friend recommended this brace from Bauerfiend. I HAVE NOT ROLLED MY ANKLE SINCE, and this has been over an 8-year time frame!! I swear by this brace, it overs freedom of movement, but impossible to roll your ankle, even after I stepped on the ball!!

My stroke recovered wife has used one for a year. For 11 years she had a full AFO but then had her foot surgically corrected. After 2 months her PT suggested she take it off. She walked 10 feet without discomfort!
All was fine except for her side foot movement muscles which no longer were there. She walked fine but was concerned about a sideway injury.
I, husband, searched the net and bought 8 ankle braces. This is the most comfortable and gives her physical and mental security. The others are back in store inventory.
Perhaps she could go without a brace but, why take a chance when she can not even feel the brace.
90% of her "always" pain is gone! A different PT now told us that often an AFO will misalign a knee and hip. Yes, it did!
