Description

The Battlecreek Thermophore Classic Deep-Heat Therapy Pack provides controlled intense moist heat, for temporary relief from muscular aches and pains. Feels great on arthritis pain, lower back pain, and menstrual cramps.  No water, moist packs or towels are needed. A treatment takes only 20 to 30 minutes, yet the beneficial results continue for several hours.

To assure maximum benefit, the Thermophore Automatic Moist Heat Pack is weighted to follow the contours of the desired area. The hot pack has a special tightly-woven flannel cover, which retains moisture from the air. When the Thermophore Automatic Moist Heat Pack is turned on, the surge of heat into the cover moves the moisture from the heated flannel to the cooler body tissue.

The Thermophore Classic Deep-Heat Therapy Pack is designed to achieve a heat level ranging between 170 degrees F and 185 degrees F. To achieve your individual heat comfort level, simply depress and hold the toggle switch. When the pad heat level meets you individual comfort needs, release the toggle to stop the increase in temperature. As the Thermophore Automatic Moist Heat Pack cools down, simply hold the toggle down again to increase the pad temperature for your comfort. Should you fall asleep during the treatment, the protective switch will snap off as your finger relaxes and the unit immediately cools down, preventing burns.

The most effective way to use moist heat is by applying a short duration time at a high temperature, then allowing the body to return to normal temperature, and then repeating the process. These durations are very relaxing, and the user may fall asleep. If this occurs, the protective switch snaps off as the user's finger relaxes and the unit immediately cools down, preventing burns.

High temperature and moisture is what makes the Thermophore Hot Pack effective. Penetrating moist heat dilates the blood vessels, increasing circulation and creating blood flow. This takes away waste and toxins which may have settled in the injured area and brings new healing blood cells to the tissue.

Moist heat therapy is a means to temporarily relieve pain derived from arthritis, bursitis, back aches and muscle spasms. This product is commonly helpful with many other ailments, such as colds with congestion and sinus conditions.

Great product, March 10, 2011
By M (Nebraska)

Heats up very quickly. I have no idea how it becomes moist but moisture becomes apparent after only a couple of minutes. Overall, this is a fantastic product.

best ever, November 7, 2010
By jamilee(Florida)

I have used a thermaphore heaing pad for past 20 plus years. My mother is 95 and prefers the old sandard pads which I hate! But you can't change her ways. But I will never use anything else. It works. The heat is just amazing. I continue to use the manual switch as think it works better or at least easier than he digital. I wish I could like the digital better but for some reason it doessnt seem to get as warm/hot which I like. I have had migraines and thiss small pad on my head has saved me! Now I am older and no migraines but lots of shoulder/stiff neck. The heating pad stays out and in use. It's time for another one as my husband and I want our own. Thanks Thermaphore!

If you've tried the rest it's time to try the best..., October 31, 2010
By Katydid(Canfield, Ohio)

Once you purchase this heating pad you will never own another! I bought one for my mother-in-law years ago and I bought one for personal use at least 20 years ago now, and I can never find mine because one of my kids has it or my husband, sooo I am buying one for each of them for Christmas! That problem is solved (smile). Seriously this is the most penetrating heat source for arthritic pain, stomache pain and phylibitis that I have ever found! Don't hesitate, it is the best on the market.

Moist heat Pack, June 8, 2010
By Mae(LaPorte, TX)

We've had two of these moist heat packs for many years. We were introduced to them because of painful backs. It took years to wear one out but I just ordered another exactly like the first one we purchased. The cover washes beautifully and the moist heat works wonders. Our children have borrowed them over the years and keep coming back. We are so glad this company is still producing this product. Thank you for the pain relief for over 30 years.
